Hello everyone.
Finally is here! The First Monday in May is here!!! And with it the MET Gala.
The MET Ball/Gala is a social fashion event (the best one) that Vogue and the Metropolitan Museum of New York put together every year to race founds to the museum and to show fashion in a way of art. Every year the Museum organizes a wonderful exhibit of certain themes (they had China Through the Looking Glass, Charles James; Beyond Fashion). This year the MET will be welcoming Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. With means that this year exhibit will be covered with fashion pieces that were inspired by the Catholic Religion.
We all know that the Catholic religion and their history is one of the greatest fonts of inspiration to many many designers like Valentino, Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld, John Galliano in his Dior era, Riccardo Tisci (for Givenchy when he was working in the house now he will be leading the British house of Burberry) or even Gianni and Donatella Versace.
So today in honor of this amazing event i will be showing you some fashion inspiration and some fashion pieces that were inspired by the Catholic Religion.

Olá a todos.
Finalmente chegou a Primeira segunda feira de Maio!!!! E com ela vem a Gala do Met.
O Baile ou Gala do MET é um evento de moda social (o melhor de todos os eventos) que a Vogue Americana e o Museu Metropolitan de Nova York organizam todos os anos para angariar fundos monetários para o Museu e para mostrar moda como uma forma de arte. Todos os anos o museu organiza uma exposição temática de forma a exibir algumas peças de vestuário dentro do tema escolhido (eles já mostraram a culture Chinesa através da exposicção China Through the Looking Glass, e já tiveram também exposições de forma a mostar o melhor de alguns designer como Charles James ou Alexander McQueen). Este ano o Met irá dar as boas vindas a 'Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination', que será uma exposição coberta de peças inspiradas na religiao católica.
Todos sabemos que a religiao católica e a sua história foram sempre uma grande fonte de inspiração para vários designers como Valentino, Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, John Gallianon na sua era Dior, Gianni e Donatella Versace e até mesmo Riccardo Tisci (quando trabalhava na Givenchy, este ano começará como diretor criativo da Británica Burberry).
Então hoje mostro-vos algumas imagens de inspiração em honra do evento de hoje. Irei mostrar-vos algumas peças que foram inspiradas na religião Católica.
